Warum DROEGENBWOYS?
Das mit dem Namen DROEGENBWOYS kam so: Eigentlich sind Rocco B und Fya Flo die original Droegenboys. So wurden sie zumindest von ihren Freunden genannt. Droegenbwoys setzt sich zusammen aus „Drögen“ für den Ort, in dem wir leben: Drögennindorf und um dem Ganzen einen reggaegemäßen Klang zu geben, wurde noch das „W“ in die Boys gebastelt.

Why the name DROEGENBWOYS?
The story behind the name DROEGENBWOYS is: The original Droegenboys are Rocco B and Fya Flo or at least they were called like that by their friends. The first part of Droegenbwoys stands for “Droegen” symbolising the village where we’re living: “Droegennindorf”. For a more reggaelike pronounciation we added the “w” into the boys.

DROEGENBWOYS Geschichte:
2003 entschied I Rebel nun doch, mal Fya Flo und Rocco B zu besuchen. Seit Jahren, so wusste er, wohnten sie im gleichen Dorf wie er. Trotzdem hatten sie sich bis dahin noch nie getroffen. Mit diesem kleinen Treffen, das natürlich als Jam endete, wurde die Band Droegenbwoys gegründet. Wir luden Pita Gita zum Mitspielen ein und der Rest war Geschichte. Verschiedene Musiker gehörten der Band an und verließen die Band wieder, aus verschiedenen Gründen. Es ist sehr wichtig das jeder, der die Band als aktives Mitglied verlassen hat, stets ein Mitglied der D-Bwoys Familie bleibt. Heute beschreiben wir unsere Musik als Dub Reggae mit MC Style Texten in Deutsch & Englisch und heftigen Effekten angereichert von unserem Bruder JahKricky. Wir haben gerade unser erstes Album fertig gestellt, und bezeichnen damit das Ende einer Schaffensphase...da wir mit dem gesamten Studio an einen neuen Platz gezogen sind und nun neu durchstarten.

DROEGENBWOYS history:
In 2003 i.rebel decided to visit fya flo and rocco b, who were living in the same village for years, but never had met before. With this little meeting,which of cause ended up as a jam the band droegenbwoys was founded.We did invite pita gita to join us and the rest is history. Several players joined and left the band, for several reasons...but its very important that everyone who left as active member is still in the D-Bwoys family. Today we discribe our music as Dub Reggae with MC style lyrics in german & english and heavy effects mixed into it by our bredren JAHKricky.We yet finished our first album,marking the end of one production phase...as we have moved the whole studio to a new place and now re-start.
